Character Set
  • A finite set of different characters that is complete for a given purpose. (FP) (ISO)
  • Note 1: Examples are: each of the character sets in ISO Recommendation R646, 6- and 7-bit Coded Character Sets for Information Processing Interchange.
  • Note 2: A character set may or may not include punctuation marks or other symbols.
