  • Program that does damage when a certain event occurs.
  • A resident computer program which, when executed, checks for particular conditions or particular states of the system which, when satisfied, triggers the perpetration of an unauthorized act. (NCSC-WA-001-85;)
  • A logic bomb is a program that causes damage when a certain event takes place. For example, files may be destroyed whenever a "Friday the 13th" comes around. (IC;)
