High-Level Control
  • In data transmission, the conceptual level of control or processing logic existing in the hierarchical structure of a primary or secondary station, which level is above the Link Level and upon which the performance of Link Level functions is dependent or is controlled; e. g. , device control, buffer allocation, or station management.
